This is Banal Pig Illustration, the online portfolio of artwork by Steve Tillotson.

Steve Tillotson trained as an artist at Batley School of Art and Design on the BA (Hons) Fine Art for Design course, and went on to do a Masters Degree at the Royal College of Art, London in Fine Art (Printmaking). He has experience of a wide range of image making, from painting and screenprinting to lithography, linocut prints and etching. From a fine art basis he became more interested in publishing works incorporating a narrative, and this became banal pig comics, which has been the majority of his output since 2005. The subject matter of this work has always been the darkly comic, so it was a natural transition into humour comics, and since then 17 comics plus other products under the banal pig imprint (named after the semi-autobiographical character from the comics) have been produced and and distributed. This website showcases a selection of works from these various styles, from paintings to comic art and illustration.
